RDP or VPS?

An RDP is a desktop you look at; a VPS is a server you log into. If you need to run a Windows application, use a browser from another country, or hand a working environment to somebody who is not comfortable in a terminal, you want an RDP. If you are hosting something, you want a VPS and it will be cheaper.

What is included

Administrator rights, so you can install what you like. A static IP. Unmetered bandwidth within fair use. Snapshots on request. The Windows builds ship activated and patched to current.

Latency

RDP is interactive, so the region matters more than it does for a server. Pick the one closest to you rather than the cheapest: the difference between Frankfurt and Los Angeles is the difference between a desktop that feels local and one that feels like a video call.
